Testing for sexually transmitted diseases:
- Chlamydia (pap smear):
This is one of the most common types of sexually transmitted diseases. These bacteria usually do not cause any symptoms. However, they can lead to sterility due to the development of adhesions in the abdomen. In most cases, this can be avoided through treatment with antibiotics.
- HPV test (pap smear):
This sexually transmitted viral disease does not usually cause any symptoms. However, it can cause changes to cervical cells. Therefore, a continuing infection increases the risk of carcinoma of the uterine cervix. Regular check-ups are advisable.
- HIV (blood sample):
There is still no treatment for this most well-known of all types of sexually transmitted diseases. Thanks to modern medicine, however, the course of the disease can be slowed down significantly. Protect your partner and get tested.
