Hair loss

Our hair influences our feelings and thinking. It reflects our personality. Hair loss is a severe problem for the patients affected by it, most of all since the social pressure for optical perfection is constantly increasing.

All in all, there are 150,000 individual scalp hairs, i.e. 200-300 hairs per cm². Normal hair loss covers roughly 60 hairs.

Hair loss diagnostics

There are many different kinds of hair loss. A consultation and head inspection can generally provide explicit clues. Frequently, a blood test (iron, proteins, thyroid gland and hormones) and/or a trichogram (hair analysis) must be carried out.

Hair loss treatment

Mesotherapy can be used for diffuse hair loss or hair loss in places. Minimum doses of harmonized drug mixtures are injected directly into the scalp with very fine needles. There are virtually no side effects. Occasionally, slight, superficial bruising can occur which, however, disappears after a couple of days.

The aim is:

The treatment is carried out once a week over a period of six weeks. Afterwards, a treatment every two months is sufficient.

Supplementary intake of zinc or vitamins and the application of special hair tonics can aid the treatment.

Cellulitis

Cellulitis is an inflammation of the cell tissue, affecting many women. It is important to distinguish cellulitis from simple fatty tissue/excess weight, since different types of treatments are involved:

Cellulitis formation:

Cellulitis can be caused by a variety of the following factors:

Cellulitis treatment:

A combined, long-term treatment should be carried out!

1. Dietary changes

To successfully treat cellulitis, you should drink at least 1.5 litres of water a day and adhere to a diet rich in protein:

You should avoid: 2. Exercise:

Three times a week: Regularly for roughly 30-45 minutes, in particular swimming, walking, cycling, Pilates, Aerobics, gymnastics

3. Mesotherapy:

Treating cellulitis directly with mesotherapy: Infiltrating the dimpled skin directly with a drug solution that reduces the amount of fat, increases the blood flow and activates your metabolism. This helps to speed up the intended tissue improvement.

This treatment is safe and there are normally no side effects. Occasional slight, superficial bruising disappears after a couple of days. No further treatment is necessary before or after the treatment. Normally six mesotherapy sessions are necessary to achieve permanent results.

Treatment of stretch fissures (striae)

Stretch fissures mainly afflict young women. They are usually triggered by heavy weight gains and/or pregnancy.

The exact cause is not known. The assumption is, however, that a hormonal mechanism leads to damage to the area of the collagenous and the elastic fibres of the connective tissue..

Fresh stretch fissures are pink to crimson and run along the skin lines. Over the course of 3-6 months, the fissures fade, and the skin appears to be thin and slightly wrinkled.

Treatment:

At the moment there is no known treatment which is guaranteed to completely restore your skin. However, mesotherapy can greatly improve your condition (smaller, less noticeable).

It is important that the treatment is started in time, i.e. as early as possible. No improvement is possible once the fissures have faded to their final stage.

A special drug mixture is infiltrated along the striae using very fine needles. Usually every fortnight, roughly 15 times.

There are no known side effects; however, slight, superficial bruising can occur temporarily.

Mesolift

Target: Improvement of the skin structure, the first wrinkles, loose or weary looking skin in the face, at the neck and décolleté.

Treatment:

Sterile biological active substances, e.g. vitamins, amino acids, and co-enzymes selected on the basis of the state of your skin are injected into the skin in small droplets.

The micro-injection directly under the surface of the skin places the active substances in the area with the most vessels.

Great care is taken to ensure that the needles are inserted - either manually or using an injection gun - to the same depth at regular intervals.

This treatment is repeated several times (roughly 3-5 treatments) within a 1-month period until the desired face-lift or rejuvenating effect is achieved. It is advisable to refresh the treatment after roughly 6 months.

Results:

"This method does not pretend to be able to make wrinkles disappear completely, but should rather be understood as a basic treatment improving your overall appearance. It boosts your aura, the elasticity of your skin and its ability to bind moisture", says Dr. Phillipe Petit, Bordeux, president of the International Mesotherapy Association.
